The historic center of Cavalese is full of craft shops, clothing stores, restaurants, pubs, wine bars, period buildings and villas. It also offers you a beautiful ice rink, where you can skate even in winter. The municipal swimming pool with both indoor and outdoor hot tubs is also very popular.

The Alpe Cermis ski lifts depart from the village and accompany skiers and hikers to spectacular high-altitude panoramas. The lifts also allow you to reach the valley floor which in summer is crossed by the cycle path of the Dolomites and in winter by the Marcialonga cross-country track.

Guided tours allow you to carefully visit the Palazzo Magnifica Comunità, with a museum-art gallery and nineteenth-century prisons. The Contemporary Art Center is located in another ancient building. From the inhabited center pleasant walks in the nature unfold.

Among the most admired natural monuments, the Cavalese waterfall and the secular tree "Pezo del Gazolin".

CAVALESE IN SUMMER
Sport, wellness and fun in the summer of Cavalese Cavalese, in the beautiful Cavalese, is appreciated in the summer for its evocative landscapes and tranquility. Cavalese offers its summer guests rich possibilities for walks in the mountains, horseback riding, mountain biking.
Ice rink, swimming pools, fitness and wellness facilities, a park for Nordic walking as well as various musical and gastronomic proposals of historical re-enactment, complete a wide range of leisure opportunities.

CAVALESE IN WINTER
From alpine skiing in the closest ski areas with the single Fiemme-Obereggen ski pass, to Nordic skiing in the centers of the valley floor and Lavazè, to the splendid views to be admired in suggestive itineraries with snowshoes on your feet. In Cavalese the famous Marcialonga di Fiemme and Fassa ends, which takes place every year on the last Sunday of January. Hockey has a particular following at the ice rink.
Sports proposals are often accompanied by music festivals (Fiemme Ski Jazz) and entertainment.

WHAT TO SEE NEARBY
Near Cavalese, there are equally hospitable municipalities such as Castello - Molina di Fiemme, Carano, Tesero, Daiano, Varena and the small Cauriol, the latter in the municipality of Pieve di Tesino. Each of these villages is worth a visit for the particularly suggestive views to photograph and for the festivals and celebrations that animate them. In August there are exhibitions of Trentino wines, sparkling wines and grappas.
The most important events involving the area are the "Marcialonga" in January (cross-country ski race) and the "Trial to the witches", also in January.
